Send a secure download link from the WebClient

Sign in to your instance URL with a user account to reach the WebClient, select a file or a folder, and choose Share. A share link can carry a password, an expiration date, and a download limit, and every share is listed in the WebClient so you can revoke it later.

Shares work for people with no account on the instance: the recipient opens the link in a browser, enters the password if you set one, and downloads. This covers the send-a-file-once case without creating a user or handing out protocol credentials, and the audit log records the download.

For recurring partner exchange, a dedicated user with a virtual folder remains the better tool. Shares are for one-off delivery. The password, expiry, and download limit options are included in the community edition your instance runs.
