Dokploy is good software, and free — for someone who wants to run their own infrastructure, it's one of the nicest ways to do it, and you can host as many apps as your server holds for the price of the server. Operating that server, and the platform on it, is the part that isn't free.

DANIAN is the other side of that trade. The same apps — n8n, Ghost, Vaultwarden — arrive running, with the database, daily tested backups, SSL, and a human on chat doing the DNS and the mail, for one flat €9. Dokploy is free — isn't that cheaper than €9 a month?

The software is free, and on a server you already operate it genuinely is cheaper, especially across many apps. What "free" leaves out is the server you rent and the time you spend operating it: hardening it, keeping the OS and Dokploy itself patched, testing backups, monitoring, and handling incidents with no SLA.

Doesn't Dokploy have the same one-click apps as DANIAN?

What about Dokploy Cloud — isn't that managed, like DANIAN?

Dokploy Cloud is a managed dashboard, not managed hosting. It runs the control panel for you, but you still bring and operate your own servers — the apps and data live on machines you rent, secure, and maintain. DANIAN runs the infrastructure and the app; there's no server for you to operate at all.

Is Dokploy safe to run in production?

Plenty of technical teams run it in production successfully. But it's young, fast-moving software: its dashboard is reachable from the public internet by default, it has shipped security fixes you must apply yourself, and updates occasionally break things. Securing and maintaining it is the operator's job. DANIAN takes that job on — patching, hardening, and monitoring are ours, as part of the price.
