ABOUT THE SOFTWARE

What is Tymeslot

Tymeslot is an open-source scheduling tool you run on your own instance. It creates public booking pages, checks your real calendars before confirming a time, sends branded email confirmations, and opens a video room for the meeting. It is the booking-link idea, without the per-seat pricing of a hosted product.

The project is built on Elixir and the Phoenix framework, with a PostgreSQL database and a real-time interface, and it is released under the Elastic License 2.0. It runs comfortably on a small instance, which is part of why it suits a single practice or a small team rather than a large deployment.

Tymeslot connects to Google Calendar, to Outlook through Microsoft Graph, and to self-hosted CalDAV calendars such as Nextcloud and Fastmail. It can open Google Meet, Microsoft Teams, or self-hosted video rooms, and it sends signed cancel and reschedule links so invitees never need an account. The booking page shows in five languages, detected from the visitor's browser.

FEATURES

What Tymeslot does

Tymeslot covers the booking workflow end to end: a public page to pick a time, a check against your real calendars, a confirmation with a calendar file, and a video link for the meeting. These are the app's own capabilities, the same whether you self-host or run it with us.

Booking pages

Public pages for each meeting type. Invitees pick a slot without creating an account or logging in.

Real-time conflict checks

Availability is checked against every connected calendar at the moment of booking, so two invitees never take the same slot.

Availability controls

Working hours, date overrides, vacation blocks, per-meeting buffers, booking windows, and minimum notice.

Calendar sync

Two-way sync with Google Calendar, Outlook via Microsoft Graph, and CalDAV calendars such as Nextcloud and Fastmail.

Video rooms

Auto-created Google Meet or Microsoft Teams links, self-hosted MiroTalk rooms, or in-person and phone options.

Email confirmations

Branded confirmations with a calendar file attached, plus signed cancel and reschedule links for invitees.

Embeddable widget

Inline, popup, or floating-button embeds with domain-locked signed tokens for your own site.

Webhooks and sign-in

HMAC-signed webhooks for automation tools, plus OAuth sign-in through Google, Microsoft, Okta, Keycloak, and others.

WHAT'S ALWAYS INCLUDED

Every app. Fully managed.
Nothing extra to pay for.

Every app on DANIAN ships with the same operational baseline. You do not choose a backup add-on or a monitoring tier. Hosting, patching, backups, SSL, and support are part of the €9, and they apply to Tymeslot the same way they apply to everything else in the catalog.

Automatic updates and patches

Apps run the latest stable version. Security patches applied silently, with rollback if needed.

Daily off-site backups

Multiple daily backups in redundant off-site locations. One-click restore if anything goes wrong.

24/7 uptime monitoring

Continuous monitoring with instant alerting. We respond before you notice.

SSL, firewall, DDoS protection

Auto-renewing SSL, hardened firewall rules, DDoS mitigation on every deployment.

Performance and scaling

We monitor resource usage continuously. When your app needs more headroom, we flag it and upgrade with your explicit approval.

Dedicated engineering support

Real engineers by email and ticket. DNS, SMTP & migration help. All included in €9.

WHY MANAGED

Why teams pick managed Tymeslot

Calendly caps SMS reminders at 250 per seat each month, then quietly falls back to email once you hit the wall. For a clinic or a studio that runs on text reminders, that wall arrives mid-month. Running your own scheduler removes the cap and the per-seat bill, but it adds operational work.

A booking link looks simple from the outside. Underneath, Tymeslot is an Elixir application that needs a PostgreSQL database, a background-job queue to poll calendars and send email, a configured mail relay, and a separate sign-in app registered with each calendar provider you connect. None of that is hard to stand up once. Keeping it patched, monitored, and backed up is the part that turns into a standing commitment.

The failure modes are quiet ones. A calendar's access token can expire or be revoked without an error on screen, and an unattended instance will keep accepting bookings against availability that has stopped syncing; the double-book shows up days later. CalDAV calendars each behave a little differently; a mailbox.org account needs an app-specific password, and a few providers sync only part of a calendar. The mail relay is the other common trap: misconfigure it and confirmation emails land in spam.

USE CASES

Three teams who run Tymeslot on DANIAN

These are the kinds of teams that move a scheduler in-house: small enough that a per-seat bill stings, busy enough that booking links matter. Each runs Tymeslot on DANIAN in a region they chose, with the calendar and video connections their work depends on. Names are composite; the setups are real.

INDEPENDENT MANAGEMENT CONSULTANT

Moved off a per-seat scheduler after the SMS wall

A Canada consultant runs three booking pages: a free intro, a paid scoping call, and a weekly client check-in. The instance sits in the region closest to clients, syncs two-way with Google Calendar, and embeds on the practice site. Confirmations carry a calendar file and a signed reschedule link.

SOLO TECHNICAL RECRUITER

Runs first-round screens from one inbox

A founder hiring their first engineers shares one screening link. Candidates pick a thirty-minute video slot with no email thread. Outlook syncs through Microsoft Graph, Teams links are created automatically, and an intake question captures notice period. Each booking is pushed to a tracking sheet over a signed webhook.

ONLINE LANGUAGE TUTOR

Weekly one-to-one lessons across five time zones

A tutor holds standing weekly slots for students in different countries. The booking page shows in each student's own language and offers separate pages for a trial and a full lesson. A self-hosted calendar syncs over CalDAV, and every confirmation opens a video room with a signed cancel link.

COMPARISON

Four ways to run Tymeslot

There are four realistic ways to run Tymeslot. A proprietary tool charges per seat, so the bill grows with the team. A VPS or a home server is yours to run, which means your time and your on-call. Managed by us, it is a flat €9 whatever the headcount.

How you run itAt 1 userAt 5 usersAt 10 usersOngoing work
Calendly StandardProprietary, per seat$12/mo$60/mo$120/moVendor runs it; the cost grows with every seat
Self-host on a VPSYou run the server~$44/mo + your time~$44/mo + your time~$44/mo + your time5–10 hours to set up, then 1–2 hours a month

DANIAN managed TymeslotFlat, per app€9/mo€9/mo€9/moNone; we run it for you

Calendly Standard is billed monthly at $12 per seat, about $10 per seat billed annually (calendly.com/pricing). The VPS figure is a $24/month production-class VPS plus off-site backup and monitoring, with setup and maintenance time valued at standard freelance rates. The home-server figure amortises hardware over three years and adds power, a business internet line with a static IP, and off-site backup.

BY INDUSTRY

Tymeslot for specific industries

Scheduling software puts different demands on different practices. A consultant needs several meeting types and a branded page; a solo therapist needs buffers and lead time; a recruiter needs intake questions and a tracking-tool handoff. These four blocks show how we tune a Tymeslot instance for each, and where it fits today.

Solo consultants, freelance designers, and independent advisors usually juggle several meeting types at once: a free fifteen-minute intro, a paid scoping call, and a recurring weekly check-in held for one client. A common working pattern is five to fifteen client meetings a week, each needing its own intake question and its own duration. On DANIAN we set a separate booking page per meeting type, each with its own buffer and its own minimum notice, so a same-day request never lands on top of focused work. We point the booking page at your own domain with SSL from the first day, and pin the mail relay so branded confirmations and calendar files arrive instead of being filed as spam. The embeddable widget drops the booking flow straight onto your existing site.

Independent therapists, physiotherapists, and nutritionists who run their own practice often carry fifteen to twenty-five client sessions a week, booked as fixed weekly slots with the same provider. The work between sessions matters as much as the session itself: a few minutes to write notes and reset the room before the next client arrives. On DANIAN we configure a buffer after every appointment and a minimum lead time, so the calendar never accepts a same-day booking against a slot you need to prepare for. We connect the booking page to a self-hosted calendar over CalDAV, or to Google Calendar, so a personal conflict blocks the slot on its own. Confirmations carry a calendar file and a signed reschedule link, so a client can move an appointment without email back-and-forth and without an account. This fits solo, cash-pay practice rather than multi-clinician groups.

A single recruiter or a founder running early interviews can spend hours a week on calendar back-and-forth. One widely cited figure puts scheduling overhead around five and a half hours a week, and recruiters often line up twenty to forty interviews in that time. Tymeslot turns the first round into a booking link: a candidate picks a phone-screen or video slot straight from your email or profile, with no shared inbox and no thread. On DANIAN we set an intake question set per role, so a portfolio link or a notice-period answer arrives with the booking. We connect Outlook through Microsoft Graph and create the Teams link automatically, and we route the booking to your tracking tool over a signed webhook. Today this fits a single interviewer per link; shared round-robin across a panel is on the upstream roadmap rather than shipping now.

Language tutors, executive coaches, and music teachers tend to run standing one-to-one slots. Many clients book two to three sessions a week and prefer the same time each week. The booking page has to respect the tutor's real availability across time zones and never offer a slot the personal calendar has already taken. On DANIAN we set recurring working hours with per-session durations, so a thirty-minute trial and a sixty-minute lesson sit on separate booking pages. We turn on two-way calendar sync over CalDAV or Google, so a blocked evening disappears from the public page at once. Each confirmation creates a Google Meet or self-hosted video room and carries a signed cancel link. The booking page shows in the invitee's own language across five supported locales, which suits a tutor working with clients in different countries.

FAQ

Frequently asked questions

The questions below come in three groups: how Tymeslot is configured and what it connects to, how a move and setup work, and how billing, support, and the platform run. The answers are specific, including where Tymeslot has gaps today.

01

Technical and configuration

Yes. The booking page checks your Google Calendar in real time and respects Busy, Tentative, and Out-of-Office events, so an invitee never grabs a slot you are already committed to. Confirmed bookings are written back to the calendar automatically.
Yes, through Microsoft Graph, for both Outlook.com and Microsoft 365 accounts. One Microsoft connection covers calendar availability and Teams video links together, so there is a single app to authorise rather than two. Two-way sync keeps your real calendar and the public booking page in agreement.
Yes. Tymeslot connects to Nextcloud, Radicale, Zimbra, Fastmail, and similar CalDAV calendars. A mailbox.org account with two-factor sign-in needs an app-specific password, which we set during onboarding.
Bookings can open a Google Meet link, a Microsoft Teams link, a self-hosted MiroTalk room, or an in-person or phone option, and you can attach a custom link per meeting type. Zoom is an open request upstream and is not connected yet. The video link is created when a booking is confirmed.
Not natively today. Tymeslot does not collect card payments or deposits at booking, which is a real gap next to some proprietary tools. The practical path is a signed webhook into an automation tool or your own payment page, triggered when a booking is made.
The booking page detects the invitee's browser language and currently supports English, German, French, Italian, and Ukrainian. An invitee in one country and a host in another each see the page in their own language. This suits tutors, coaches, and consultants who work across borders.

02

Migration and onboarding

21 datacenter locations across six continents. You choose the region at provisioning. Application data sits in the region you choose; pick whichever is closest to your users or matches your data-residency preference.
Yes. Request a region migration from the dashboard and we run the move in the background. The system emails you when the migration completes; total transfer time depends on data volume but typical instances finish in a few hours. There is no extra charge for a region change.
Yes. Full data export is available at any time, in a portable format you can bring to any infrastructure.
Yes. Your booking page runs on your own custom domain with SSL issued and renewed automatically. We give you the exact DNS records to add and confirm the certificate once it is live. A custom domain is included rather than reserved for a higher tier.
A region and either a subdomain or your own custom domain are enough to start. We provision the app, the database, backups, SSL, and monitoring, then connect your calendar and sign-in. Most instances are ready the same day; calendar and SSO steps sometimes need a short back-and-forth.

03

Billing, support, and platform

€9 covers everything we do for that app: hardware in the region you choose, daily off-site backups with one-click restore, automatic security patches and version upgrades, 24/7 monitoring, SSL and firewall, and engineering support on email and the ticket section in the client portal. There are no setup fees or hidden line items. For more info see our Pricing page.
If you decide to continue, we charge €9/app/month from day 8. If you don't, the trial ends and you can export your data. No card is required for the trial, and we never auto-charge you without explicit consent.
No. The €9/month is flat regardless of how many users log into your app. Add 5 users or 50; the price doesn't change.
24/7 email and ticket support, both staffed by engineers who run the systems. We handle DNS configuration, SMTP setup, app integrations, performance tuning, troubleshooting, and migration help. Response time is typically under an hour. There is no tier system — every customer gets the same support.
Yes. Cancel from the dashboard. We don't charge a cancellation fee, we don't lock data, and we will export your data to you on request before deletion. data to you on request before deletion.
Every customer instance is backed up daily to a separate region from the primary. We test restores. You can request a restore at any backup point within the retention window — usually 7 days for daily backups.
Your application data sits in the region you choose at provisioning — 21 datacenter locations across six continents. Account-level data (billing, account email, support ticket history) is processed centrally. Application data region is picked by you, per app.
99.9% uptime SLA on every app, every tenant. Service credits are documented at danian.co/service-level-agreement. The status page is located at status.danian.co.
When your tenant approaches the resource ceiling — the base tier holds 1 vCPU/RAM, 30 GB storage — we notify you. Resource upgrades happen with your explicit consent; we will not upgrade your tenant or charge you without it.
We wait. We don't suspend the app or delete your data on the first failed charge. We email you, you fix the card on file, and we continue.
Invoices can be downloaded from the billing dashboard in PDF the day each charge succeeds. EU VAT is added where applicable and the VAT-reverse-charge regime applies for VAT-registered businesses with a valid number.

Yes. Every instance comes with a web-based terminal and a file manager in your DANIAN management dashboard. Useful for managing your data and customizations.
Resources scale with your usage. If your app needs more vCPU, RAM, or storage, we add it — and we ask first before any change to your plan. €9 is the floor; resource-heavy workloads may price higher, but you'll always know in advance.
Yes. We have both a Partner program and an Affiliate program available. Anybody can sign up.
